Footnotes

(1) Very high strength classes to be based on the following formula to determining total equivalent dwelling units:
     0.71 x (average annual flow/298) + 0.29 x (BOD or TSS loading/1.78) = Total EDUs
Where:     Average annual flow = the projected total annual wastewater discharge volume for the development (in gallons) divided by 365 days
BOD or TSS loading = {(average annual flow x 365/1,000,000) x assumed average BOD or TSS concentration (whichever is greater)
                    in mg/Ix8.345} /365 days
To calculate the very high strength sewer SDC, multiply the total EDU's determined by the above formula by the Single Family rates.
(2) PFU = Plumbing Fixture Units, determined from the most current version of the Oregon Plumbing Specialty Code (Table 7-3)
Minimum of 18 PFUs per development, incremental increase over the minimum calculated per PFU as follows:

  Reimb.   Improv.   Compliance   Total
Domestic                 $302.60          $66.00           $10.16 $378.76
Medium $341.76 $74.63 $10.16 $426.55
High $469.95     $102.59 $10.16 $582.70

(3) Impervious areas include buildings and all other site improvements, excluding on-site storm water treatment systems.
Note: The 1998 SDC study used an assumed 2,500 sq. ft. of impervious area per single family residence, which is the basis
     of the non-residential fee.
